Laser Hair Removal in Lahore
Medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG hair reduction, calibrated for deeper South Asian skin tones.
South Asian skin requires a different laser conversation. Wavelength, fluence and cooling all have to be set for your Fitzpatrick type, or the result is burns and pigmentation rather than smooth skin. Every course at AMK Aesthetics begins with a patch test and a documented settings record, so each session builds safely on the last.
Good Candidate Checklist
You are likely to benefit from this procedure if you present with:
- South Asian melanin-rich skin (treated safely with 1064nm Nd:YAG)

When We Honestly Decline
We will say no to treatment if:
- Blonde, red, or grey hairs (melanin target absent)

Doctor Q&A on Laser Hair Removal
Direct clinical guidance from Dr. Khan addressing the most common patient hesitations.
Q: Why do some laser clinics burn brown or South Asian skin?
In South Asian skin (Fitzpatrick IV–V), melanin is abundant not just in the hair follicle but also in the epidermis. When high energy with shorter wavelengths or inadequate skin cooling is used, the laser cannot distinguish between epidermal skin pigment and hair pigment, causing burns, blistering, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Safe treatment requires a long-pulsed 1064nm Nd:YAG laser with continuous sapphire contact cooling and conservative pulse durations.
